Packing-slip offers

Sponsored partner offers on packing slips.

Online stores earn from the slips they already print. Brands reach shoppers inside the box they just opened.

Sample packing slip from a fictional store, Harrowfen Home. The order details, ship-to address and three items fill the top of the page. Below a dashed line are three offers, each in its own box with a black “Sponsored ad” label and the advertiser’s name: an outdoor gear offer from Ridgefinch Outfitters, a lighting offer from Gloamfield Lighting and a pet treats offer from Pebblewhisk Pet Co., each with a QR code. A footer says the ads are from third-party advertisers placed by Pulp and the store doesn’t endorse them.

Why packing slips

Already printed.

Stores print a slip for every order anyway. Pulp adds offers to that same sheet: nothing new to stuff, store or count.

Opened with every order.

The slip comes out of the box with the order, so the offer arrives right as the shopper unpacks.

Reviewed and clearly labeled.

Pulp reviews every ad before it prints, and every offer is labeled “Sponsored ad.”

Two sides, one slip

For online stores

Get paid for partner offers on the packing slips you already print.

  • Partner offers you control, each reviewed by Pulp and labeled “Sponsored ad.”
  • Block competitors, your own product category, any category or any specific advertiser.
  • You get 50% of net collected revenue (the ad money Pulp actually collects for your slips, after refunds and chargebacks), paid monthly once you reach $25.
  • Amazon and other marketplace orders print without ads.
For advertisers

Reach shoppers inside the box they just opened.

  • Runs on the whole network by default.
  • Narrow by store category, state or both, if you want.
  • Reach is one network total, estimated from real order volume.
  • Slips printed and QR scans for your campaign, plus slips by state (states under 50 slips grouped as “Other”). Add your own promo-code redemptions to see them alongside. No shopper or order data.

How it works

For stores

  1. Join the pilot.
  2. Set your blocks: competitors, categories, specific advertisers.
  3. Print as usual. Sponsored ads appear on your slips, and your own promo fills any unsold slot.
  4. See your monthly statement, and get paid monthly from collected revenue.

For advertisers

  1. Run on the whole network, or narrow it. Campaigns reach every store by default. Switch on store category, state or both to narrow. Narrower targeting costs more per 1,000 slips.
  2. See your estimated reach before you launch: one network total of expected slips per month, estimated from real order volume and going to real households who just ordered.
  3. Upload your offer and save a card (no charge today). Pulp reviews your offer before anything prints.
  4. It prints on packing slips, labeled “Sponsored ad.”
  5. Track results: slips printed and QR scans, slips by state, and the promo-code redemptions you enter.

FAQ

Stores

What will my customers see?
Up to three offers below your order details, each labeled “Sponsored ad,” with a note that they come from third parties and aren’t endorsed by your store. The slip also says: “Advertisers never receive your name, address, or order details.”
Will advertisers know my store is showing their ad?
No. Advertisers choose store categories and states, not individual stores. They see campaign totals only.
Who chooses the ads?
Pulp reviews and approves every ad. You block any advertiser or category you don’t want, at signup or later in settings.
How much will I earn?
It depends on your order volume, which ad slots are sold, and advertiser demand. Many slips may print without a paid ad, especially early on. Pulp does not guarantee any earnings. You earn 50% of net collected revenue for ads printed on your slips. Your actual earnings, slip by slip, are shown on the Earnings page in the app. Payouts are monthly once you reach $25.
When is my first payout?
Payouts are made by hand each month, from revenue Pulp has actually collected from advertisers. Your first payout comes about 6–8 weeks after you start printing, once advertisers’ month-end payments are collected and you’ve reached $25. You’ll get a statement email each month before then.
Do Amazon or marketplace orders get ads?
No. Those slips print without sponsored ads.
Does it work with ShipStation or my 3PL?
Not yet. Tell us what you use on the waitlist form.
What does Pulp cost me?
Nothing. Stores don’t pay Pulp.
What data do advertisers get?
Campaign totals only: slips printed and QR scans, plus slips by state (states under 50 slips grouped as “Other”). Advertisers can add their own promo-code redemptions. They never receive your customers’ names, addresses or orders, and never learn which stores printed their ads.

Advertisers

How is reach estimated?
From recent order volume across the active stores that match your campaign, shown as one network total of expected slips per month. Some stores ship subscriptions, so repeat customers may get more than one slip. We show it only when at least 3 active stores match; otherwise we’ll give you a custom quote. It’s an estimate, not a guarantee.
What can I target?
By default your campaign runs on the whole network. If you want, switch on store category, state or both: choose from the store categories our live stores are in (a category appears once it has enough stores) and the states you want. Narrower targeting costs more per 1,000 slips. Advertisers can’t pick individual stores.
What reporting do I get?
Slips printed and QR scans for your campaign, plus slips by state (states under 50 slips grouped as “Other”). Add your own promo-code redemptions to see them alongside. No shopper or order data.
What isn’t accepted?
Pulp doesn’t accept ads in these 17 locked categories:
  1. Health conditions, treatments and medical services
  2. Prescription and OTC medications, pharmacies
  3. Dietary supplements, weight loss and diet products
  4. Pregnancy and fertility
  5. Sexual wellness and adult content
  6. Dating
  7. Alcohol
  8. Tobacco, vape and nicotine
  9. Cannabis, hemp and CBD
  10. Firearms, ammunition and weapons
  11. Gambling, including sports betting, casinos and lotteries
  12. Sweepstakes, contests and prize promotions
  13. Political and issue ads
  14. Religion
  15. Sexual orientation and gender identity
  16. Financial products: insurance, loans, credit, debt relief, investments and crypto, and lead generation for any of these
  17. Anything illegal where the order ships
How am I billed?
You save a card at signup, with no charge that day. At month-end you’re billed for the slips delivered that month. Each account has a credit limit, and reaching it triggers an earlier charge. If a charge fails, your campaigns pause until payment goes through.
